I miss old school holiday events.

Back when they gave out cosmetics that was tied behind and easy to do fun event.
Holidays would involve logging in doing the event for 30mins, chilling about wearing the rewards with evry1 else for another 30mins and back celebrating the holidays irl or with friends in game.
Lately seems like every event has been a grind rather than a celebration... "You want this holiday item to celebrate in-game? Here's this stupid menial 50+hr grind and/or be lucky. Wanna celebrate irl too? Nah You better be stuck here grindng."
The h'ween event was horribly grindy with brain dead content on repeat for days.
Now a green santa hat which nobody has to worry about not getting since its gonna be back, for sure you might get it in the next decade or so after a few years of it coming back, if they come back.
Where is all the holiday items given out in holiday spirit? Why does every new holiday items feel like a pain in the arse to get? Why is every item hyped so much and yet locked to either the really whalethy or a stupid long amount of game time +/- Luck?

Top Comment: Don't get me started on the countless Lumbridge crater events... Last January I started osrs for the first time, although it isnt perfect the events are way more reminiscent of the old rs events.
How to watch old olympic events?

I'm trying to archive freestyle skiing's history over the years. 2014 was the year slopestyle and halfpipe in skiing were added to the olympics. So i was trying to find full broadcast to watch these but all i could find was short clips from these events. Are there any streaming service or archive i could find full broadcasts of events or are they just gone for good? Thanks in advance.
Top Comment: You can try the olympics app. I know it has full replays of all events for the last two olympics. I am not sure how far the full broadcasts go back in time.
Old In-Game Events

Y'all remember when there used to be in games events where you could earn a fair set of stuff to build your characters? Like skill balls, gold tickets etc?
I think we got the off the cage outfit set from events like those and that long red hair for Helena. You just had to pretty much play until you completed the objectives and earned enough tickets (?) to cash in for rewards.
I kinda miss those tbh 😕. Wonder why they never came back.

yup, started with the big flow event. then they reused it a few times under different names. was one of the best events they had. and you are right, they'd give cosmetics or sometimes intensives, and sometimes both....in addition to gold packs, fs packs, fs pieces, skill balls, etc.

Maples are ridiculously slow lol.
At best I expect a couple yew trees to be filled for a few days, then it'll die down as people revert back to the guild for the invisible boost and not having to worry about the events.
Willows in Draynor F2P will be full forever as they usually are.
